The Memorandum

By: Vaclav Havel
Directed by: Christopher Plummer

I worked with the student sound designer to pull several typewriters out of props for recording and integrating into the sound design.

Letters, words and office equipment figured prominently in the design elements. The set also provided some wonderfully inconvenient travel paths that helped support the inhospitability of the bureaucracy presented in The Memorandum.

Acting used strong contrasts between moments of actual connection and actors spending uncomfortably long times talking to each other with out looking at each other.
